National Federation on Agriculture!
MAHI- a National federation of Farmer Producer Organizations in tune with the national policy on FPOs. MAHI Farmer Producer Company Limited was founded in 14/01/22 as a National Federation of 6 State level Federations from Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Telangana. These State level Federations have networked with the existing FPCs in each of their respective States.

A total of 369 FPCs from 6 states have been networked under MAHI Umbrella without any Agency support. The membership in the Member FPCs is around 50000 farmers. The Mahi Federation is adding few more State Federations taking the total tally of Member FPCs beyond 500 with farmer strength of one lakh in the coming months.

Mahi - National-Level Federation for Farmers
Mahi Farmer Producer Company Limited is a National-Level Federation of State Level Federation Farmer Producer Companies (SLFFPCs) incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013. Its primary objective is to empower farmers by creating a robust ecosystem for agricultural and allied activities
Key Objectives
- 3-Tier Structure: Establish a strong foundation with a 3-tier structure: National Level, State Level (SLFFPCs), and Village/District Level Farmer Producer Companies
- Comprehensive Support: Provide comprehensive support to farmers, including procurement, production, marketing, finance, insurance, processing, warehousing, and technology
- Financial Inclusion: Facilitate access to credit and insurance at competitive rates for farmers, SLFFPCs, and Member Institutions
- Infrastructure Development: Promote the development of agricultural and allied infrastructure, such as processing units, warehouses, and marketing channels
- Value Addition: Focus on value addition to agricultural produce through processing, branding, and exploring export markets
- Sustainable Practices: Promote organic farming, research on traditional agricultural knowledge, and cow-based organic agriculture
- Farmer Welfare: Implement welfare measures, provide training and consultancy services, and address the socio-economic needs of farmers
Key Activities
- Facilitate the establishment and operations of SLFFPCs
- Promote and support agro-processing units, including mills and oil refineries
- Provide financial assistance to members through equity, debt, and other support mechanisms
- Organize farmers into self-help groups and promote thrift and credit facilities
- Establish and manage godowns, warehouses, agro-malls, and other necessary infrastructure
- Facilitate marketing, branding, and value chain development for farmers
- Promote and support organic production and certification
- Conduct research and development activities related to agriculture
- Implement government schemes and act as a resource agency for farmers
- Organize training programs, seminars, and conferences for farmers
- Invest in and collaborate with other companies to achieve its objectives
